Governance
EIPIN is governed by a Presidency composed of the Immediate Past President, the President, and the President-Elect. This governance model ensures both continuity and renewal by combining institutional memory with fresh perspectives and strategic vision. It reflects the Foundation’s commitment to stable, transparent, and forward-looking leadership while maintaining a close connection with the evolving priorities of the EIPIN Network.
The current Presidency consists of:
- Joseph Drexl, Immediate Past President
- Noam Shemtov, President
- Anke Moerland, President-Elect
Together, the Presidency provides the strategic input to the Foundation, oversees its activities, promotes collaboration across the EIPIN Network, and works to ensure that the Foundation fulfils its mission of advancing excellence in intellectual property research and education. In close cooperation with the members of the EIPIN Network, the Presidency supports the development of joint research initiatives, fosters the exchange of knowledge and best academic practices, strengthens opportunities for early-career researchers, and contributes to the continued growth of a dynamic and internationally recognised European intellectual property research community.
