The European Intellectual Property Innovation Network (EIPIN) is a long-standing community of leading European universities and intellectual property scholars committed to advancing excellence in intellectual property research and education. Through close collaboration among its members, the EIPIN Network promotes joint research, academic exchange, and the development of a vibrant European intellectual property research community.
A central objective of the Network is to support the next generation of intellectual property scholars. To this end, its members meet annually to provide doctoral candidates and early-career researchers, with particular focus on phd candidates with the opportunity to present their research, receive detailed feedback from internationally recognised experts, and develop lasting academic collaborations. The annual meeting also serves as a forum for senior scholars to present their ongoing research, exchange ideas and experiences concerning doctoral supervision, examination, and evaluation, discuss emerging developments in intellectual property law, and identify new opportunities for collaborative research. Through these activities, the Network contributes to the development of a shared European intellectual property research environment founded on academic excellence, collegiality, and collaboration.
The EIPIN Foundation has been established to support and strengthen the activities of the EIPIN Network. Working in close partnership with the Network, the Foundation provides the institutional framework necessary to sustain its long-term development, facilitate collaborative research initiatives, support educational activities, attract external funding, and promote the Network’s mission at the European and international levels. While the Network remains the academic heart of EIPIN, the Foundation serves as its organisational and strategic platform, ensuring continuity, effective governance, and the resources necessary for the Network to flourish.
